Description:
Conducted from product registration data, this modality usually employs a paper card, a phone call or some other collection vehicle. Contests can be used to boost response rates. In many industries, product registration is required by government agencies. Multiple uses can be derived from the data including whether additional products or services from the company are desired, new product suggestions, and identification of product problems and modification issues.

Benefit:
Allows a company to have continuous feedback into how the manufacturing and marketing process is doing as it relates to the end user; usually built into the product; can drive improvements in the next iteration of products or services.
